Talevara policies

Terms of Service

The agreement for reading, publishing, interacting, and using Talevara.

Effective 14 August 2026 · Version 1.0

Effective 14 August 2026 · Version 1.0. These policies apply to Talevara users and creators.

In short

You may use Talevara to read, publish, interact, and participate in available platform features. You keep ownership of content you own. You give Talevara a limited license needed to host, display, distribute, technically adapt, moderate, and promote that content within the service. You must have the rights to what you upload and follow the platform’s safety, content, and community rules.

1. Who these terms are between

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are between you and the Talevara support and legal-notice routes shown on this site, the operator of Talevara (“Talevara”, “we”, “us”). The available legal-notice and support routes are linked from this site.

If you use Talevara on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. Mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live are not excluded by these Terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and must satisfy any higher minimum age or parental-consent requirement that applies in your country. Features involving creator payouts, contracts, or other financial obligations may require you to be 18 or otherwise legally able to enter those arrangements.

Provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

3. What Talevara provides

Talevara may provide reading, discovery, libraries, creator tools, publishing, interactive-story functionality, comments, reviews, community features, subscriptions, creator monetization, and other storytelling services. Some features may be experimental, limited by region, require an account, or be subject to additional terms displayed before use.

4. Your content remains yours

You retain the intellectual-property rights you already hold in stories, chapters, artwork, comments, reviews, profiles, interactive structures, and other material you submit (“User Content”). Uploading content does not transfer ownership to Talevara.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions needed to publish your User Content, including third-party text, artwork, music, trademarks, translations, adaptations, and other protected material.

5. License you give Talevara

When you make User Content available through Talevara, you grant Talevara a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, perform where technically relevant, format, encode, resize, and distribute that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, moderate, and present the Talevara service and to make your content available according to the visibility and publishing choices you select.

The license also allows Talevara to create service-format adaptations such as thumbnails, previews, excerpts, device-compatible versions, accessibility formats, and cached copies. Promotional use outside the normal Talevara service should be limited to identifying or promoting Talevara and the specific content you chose to publish.

This license ends when the relevant content is removed from public availability, except for reasonable backup, legal, security, audit, and dispute-retention periods and copies that must be retained to respect other users’ lawful purchases or access rights. Retention mechanics are described in the applicable privacy, account, and content policies.

Creator content and AI training: uploading creator content does not grant Talevara a separate right to use that content to train a generative-AI model. Any future creator-content training program should require a separate, explicit opt-in agreement.

6. Rules for content and behavior

You must follow the Community Guidelines, Content & Publishing Guidelines, AI Content Policy, and applicable law. These policies explain prohibited conduct, publication standards, required labels, intellectual-property rules, and safety restrictions.

Fiction may depict difficult, disturbing, political, religious, violent, or morally objectionable subjects without necessarily endorsing them. Talevara may nevertheless require ratings, warnings, age restrictions, limited discovery, or other presentation controls where content could reasonably surprise or harm readers.

7. AI-assisted and generated material

AI-assisted or AI-generated material is allowed only under the AI Content Policy. Materially AI-generated text, images, audio, or other story assets must be labelled when the policy requires it. You remain responsible for rights, accuracy of disclosures, and policy compliance regardless of which tools were used to create the content.

8. Paid services

Prices, renewal terms, taxes, billing interval, included features, and any trial terms must be shown before purchase. Talevara will not rely on this general Terms page to hide material billing terms. Additional Subscription & Refund terms apply to paid reader services.

In the platform, checkout is intentionally disabled: no production payment provider, price table, tax calculation, renewal, payout, or purchase receipt flow is live. Where consumer law gives you withdrawal, cancellation, refund, or statutory-conformity rights, those rights continue to apply.

9. Creator monetization

Creators who join monetization, revenue-share, subscription, or payout programs are also subject to the Creator Terms and any program-specific terms accepted before activation. Talevara must publish the actual payout calculation, eligibility rules, payment schedule, thresholds, tax/KYC requirements, and treatment of refunds or fraud before creator monetization goes live.

10. Discovery and recommendations

Talevara may rank, recommend, filter, or personalize content. The production service must describe the main parameters that materially influence recommendations and creator discovery once the recommender system is finalized. Paid placement, if introduced, must be clearly identified rather than presented as organic discovery.

11. Moderation and enforcement

Talevara may take proportionate action where content or conduct violates these Terms, platform policies, or law. Depending on the circumstances, action may include a warning, content label, age restriction, reduced distribution, feature restriction, demonetization, removal, account suspension, or account termination.

Where required by law or provided by Talevara policy, affected users will receive a clear reason and an opportunity to appeal. See Moderation & Appeals.

12. Illegal content and intellectual-property reports

Use the dedicated reporting routes for allegedly illegal content and the Copyright & IP Policy for copyright or trademark concerns. Notices must be sufficiently specific to identify the material and explain the basis of the report.

13. Third-party services

Talevara may rely on third-party infrastructure or link to external services. Third parties may have their own terms and privacy practices. Talevara is responsible for its own obligations but does not control independent third-party services.

14. Service changes and availability

Talevara may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features for product, legal, safety, technical, or business reasons. Material changes affecting paid access or creator-business relationships should be communicated in advance where reasonably possible and where required by applicable law.

15. Closing your account

You may stop using Talevara and request account closure through the account controls or support route once implemented. Some data may need to be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, safety, or dispute purposes as described in the Privacy Policy.

16. Service warranties

Talevara will provide the service with the level of care required by applicable law. Because an online service cannot be guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free at all times, no promise of continuous availability is made beyond mandatory legal requirements. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory guarantees or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law. Any additional limitation of liability for business users must be reviewed for the governing jurisdiction for publication and must not be used to remove mandatory consumer protections.

18. Disputes and governing law

Governing-law and competent-court terms apply as shown for the relevant Talevara operator and user jurisdiction. Users may retain mandatory rights to bring consumer claims in their home jurisdiction. Content-moderation disputes may also have statutory internal or out-of-court routes where applicable.

19. Changes to these Terms

Talevara should provide reasonable notice of material changes and preserve an accessible archive of previous versions. Changes should not be applied retroactively where doing so would violate applicable law.

20. Contact

Formal legal notices, consumer contacts, and regulatory inquiries can be submitted through the linked legal-notice support route.
